About Coach

"Growing up, I wasn't exactly the poster child for athleticism. Team sports and the whole gym scene? Nah, not my vibe. But then, winter hit Boston like a cold reality check-in 2015, and I needed an escape. Enter Krav Maga. It was like finding a whole new world. Krav Maga, much like CrossFit, threw everything and the kitchen sink at me—striking, kicking, ground work, judo throws, and even a bit of weapon self-defense. I got hooked on learning new moves, sweating it out in sparring sessions, and feeling accomplished with every tiny improvement. Then, in late 2019, CrossFit strutted into my life, and it felt like a sibling to martial arts—new skills and techniques, high-intensity vibes, the whole shebang. Fast forward to late 2020, new city, new chapter, and I stumbled upon CrossFit Fortius in San Diego. The community clicked, and now, I'm knee-deep in it, totally sold on this fitness and friendship combo. No turning back—I'm all in for the adventure ahead!"

Turning Point

"We all have these nagging voices in our heads, whispering doubts about our abilities, questioning if we're good enough, urging us to throw in the towel. I've got those voices too. They crank up the volume after a lousy workout or when I spot newcomers effortlessly nailing ring muscle-ups or strolling into handstand walks on their first attempt. It's like a noisy soundtrack that never shuts up. Here's the thing—I've realized these voices won't magically disappear. Instead, I've learned to crank up my own volume, drowning out the negativity. I've got to stop comparing myself to others and focus on my wins. Sure, some skills don't come naturally to me, but I've been putting in the work. I'm better than I was a year ago, three months ago, heck, even yesterday. So, when those voices start their racket, it's time to remind myself—it's a marathon, not a sprint. We're all on different paths, and the key is we're getting better, one step at a time."

Motivation & Passion

"We're all on this journey of learning and self-improvement. Being a coach, nothing beats the thrill of watching my tips and cues click for members, helping them unlock a new skill set, or smashing a personal record. It's not just about individual victories; it's about fostering and growing this incredible community we've got. Here's to sharing, supporting, and building something awesome together!"
