I didn’t grow up playing sports or identifying as an athlete, so discovering CrossFit in my 30s was completely unexpected - and transformative. I started CrossFit in 2012 and immediately fell in love with the process: showing up, trusting the program, putting in the work, and watching progress compound over time. The milestones were especially meaningful - first pull-up, first double-under, first muscle-up, heavier lifts than I ever imagined possible. What started as personal growth quickly evolved into a desire to coach and help others experience the same breakthroughs. I earned my CrossFit Level 1 in 2013, my USA Weightlifting Level 1 in 2014, and have continued expanding my education ever since, adding CrossFit Kids, CrossFit Level 2, and additional certifications along the way. With more than a decade immersed in CrossFit, I bring extensive hands-on experience coaching athletes of all backgrounds, abilities, and ages. I love teaching and coaching, and I’m especially passionate about Olympic lifting. There’s nothing better than taking a movement like the snatch - something that feels impossible to a beginner - breaking it down step by step, and seeing the moment when it finally clicks. I genuinely enjoy celebrating my athletes’ wins more than my own.
Starting CrossFit and becoming a coach fundamentally changed my confidence. I used to be extremely shy in public settings and struggled with nerves during presentations, even in small group or one-on-one situations. I avoided risks because I was afraid of making mistakes. CrossFit gave me a community that helped me believe in myself. Even when I failed or stumbled, the support was always there - not just at my home gym, but in every CrossFit gym I’ve ever visited. Coaching gave me a voice. Today, I’m comfortable engaging in conversation, speaking in public, and stepping into leadership roles. It’s opened the door to new relationships, new perspectives, and a community that continues to push me to be better.
Having found a stronger sense of self-worth through CrossFit, I’m deeply motivated to help others find theirs. Every class is an opportunity to build trust, learn together, and strengthen the supportive community that makes this methodology so powerful. I’m grateful to be a part of it and committed to helping every athlete feel capable, confident, and supported.
