About Coach

I grew up in Eugene, Oregon. Most of the time growing up, I was either playing baseball or skateboarding. I stuck with baseball throughout high school and received a scholarship to play in college as a pitcher. I played baseball for 4 years in college and received a bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Southwestern College in Kansas in 2019. After college, I moved to Hawaii and started my CrossFit/fitness journey out there In Kihei, Maui. After Hawaii, in 2020, I started traveling a lot more, going around Australia and Asia, surfing, exploring, and staying active for about half a year. Then in 2021, I moved to San Diego, received my Crossfit Level 1 certification, as well as my USA Weightlifting Level 1 certification, and started coaching Crossfit at Cross-Fit Pb (which is now Crossfit Fortius Pb). I coached there for 2 years and had an amazing time coaching some awesome individuals. At the beginning of 2023, I moved to Switzerland and had a year-long European traveling experience. I went to many different countries, snowboarding, scuba diving, surfing, and exploring. Now I have moved back to San Diego, and I am super stoked to coach for Cross-Fit Fortius and be a part of this community. I am excited to meet you!

Turning Point

In college, I became super unhealthy. I was very overweight, and I was abusing alcohol. One day I had a realization that I was going downhill with my health, and I needed to change how I was doing things. This was a huge point in my life that changed everything for me. I started focusing on my nutrition, staying sober, and getting stronger. From that point on, I have continued to challenge myself with my health and fitness goals every day, which has shaped me into who I am today. I am now a coach, and I can help others reach their fitness goals, and change their lives. I couldn't be happier!

Motivation & Passion

I think that good health is the key to a happy life. From what I have seen and experienced, if you are physically healthy, then it usually helps with mental health. If you are physically and mentally healthy, then you have the capability to help other individuals who aren't physically or mentally healthy. I have witnessed many people's lives change because of fitness, and being able to be apart of that is one of the best feelings that I have experienced. So that is why I coach.
